About me

Hi. My name is Dan Zwell, and welcome to my corner of the web. I have lived in the Bay Area for about a year, since graduating college. I am a software engineer and technology hobbyist. I also like hiking/camping, fantasy books, photography, music, and fountain pens.

I've used a lot of open source software in the past few years, and have made some minor contributions and other random hacks in this time.

I recently finished an internship at Pixar, working on their animation tools. Before that, I was a student in CS at Lawrence University.

In 2004 I went to Israel to learn Hebrew. It was amazing, and beautiful. I lived on a kibbutz for five months, working outdoors and taking lessons with 25 other students a few times per week. I also speak Spanish, though I haven't had much opportunity to use it in this country.
